THE ARTIST GORDON F. BLAND – PIONEER OF COSTA DEL SOL

 

Film stuntman-actor, professional shark fisherman, restaurateur... now retired.

 

Started creative pottery art 17 years ago, and has always had a passion for the creative arts. This inspiration has helped him create sculpture works inspired by his life and love for the sea and all living creatures within it. 

 

Although Gordon's work is very versatile, he is never short of new concepts of art. All clays he uses and mixes are very strong and unpredictable. The time is very consuming with great results (or horrific disasters in the kiln). Work on a piece of art takes possibly a week or more only for it to break or blow up in the kiln- starting again makes for a better artist.

 

A successful piece of creative work is followed by hours of painting and glazing.
